For AEV's visual identity, we conducted in-depth client interviews to understand the business and, most importantly, their target audience. With China as their primary market, our research led us to challenge the stereotypical Western assumption that Far Eastern branding must feature red, despite its significance in Chinese culture.
Our approach was more contemporary—utilizing yellow, brown, and black. This palette distinguished AEV from competitors while respecting cultural context, creating a modern, sophisticated identity that resonates with Chinese clients without relying on overused conventions.
